Limited rollout: eligible Plus accounts receive 100 answered questions per calendar month. Membership alone does not grant access. Ordinary journal search stays free.
Ask your journal is currently in a limited rollout for selected accounts. A Plus subscription by itself does not unlock access.
How to ask your journal
Begin with a question your entries could answer. If the Ask card is available on your account, you have 5 entries, and Plus is active, open Journey and choose Learn my journal. Subscribing alone does not make the card appear or start that process. A progress view shows how much has been read, and you can ask while it continues.
Ask in your own words. Dayora looks for relevant writing, then answers with your original words and dates. The question is useful when you remember a subject or a stretch of your life but cannot remember the exact phrase to search for.

These tools do different jobs. A keyword search finds a phrase. Ask retrieves evidence for a question about the past. Reflect gives you somewhere to think through what is happening now. Choosing the right one saves a question and often gets you to the entry faster.

Read the evidence behind the answer
An answer should help you return to your journal. Read its dates and quoted words, then open the original entries for the surrounding context. A difficult week does not explain a whole relationship, and a few entries do not establish a permanent trait. Treat what you find as material for reflection.
When there is not enough relevant writing, Dayora says so. An unanswered question or an error does not use the monthly allowance. If your journal is still being read in, an answer can only use what is ready, so missing evidence may become available later.
Your own words stay in the language you wrote them. Archived entries are excluded; restored entries become available again. Edited entries use the revised text, and deleted entries are removed. You control which history remains available.
The Ask allowance, and what stays free
Eligible accounts in the limited rollout receive 100 answered questions per calendar month while Plus is active, resetting at the start of the month in their timezone. There is no free Ask allowance. Cancelling keeps earlier questions and answers available to read, but stops new questions.
Writing entries, their AI reflections, voice transcription, ordinary search, mood tracking, and Reflect chat remain part of the free core. Asking a question does not use call minutes or a Deep Self Report. Check the current plan page for pricing in your region.
Questions and answers
Is Ask your journal free?
Ask requires Plus and access to its current limited rollout. Eligible accounts receive 100 answered questions per calendar month. Journey’s ordinary keyword search remains free and uncounted.
How many entries do I need?
You need access to the current rollout, 5 entries, and an active Plus membership. If the Ask card is available in Journey, choose Learn my journal. Nothing is read in for Ask until you choose that action.
Does every question use my allowance?
Only an answered question counts. A question with no relevant writing, an error, or a response that offers support instead of a search does not spend one.
Can I ask before my whole journal is ready?
Yes. The answer uses the entries already read in. The progress view shows how much of your history is ready.
