Is Rosebud free?
Partly. Rosebud has a free tier and says so plainly. What it does not say, anywhere on its own pricing page, is what that free tier allows: how many entries, how many AI replies, how long it lasts. Several review sites publish a specific weekly entry limit. That number is not on Rosebud's site, so it is not on this page either.
If the limits matter to your decision, and for a daily journal they usually do, that unpublished gap is worth knowing about before you start writing into it.
If you want one without a subscription
Dayora is an AI journal with a free core. It is a different product with a different opinion, not a clone, so the honest comparison is what each one gives you before you pay anything.
Dayora, free
- No entry limit, no trial timer, no credit card
- A summary, an insight and one next step on every entry
- Voice journaling with transcription

Rosebud, free tier
Rosebud has a free tier. Its limits are not published on Rosebud's site, so this column is deliberately empty rather than filled in from somewhere else.
Paid is Rosebud Bloom at $12.99/month, or $8.99/month billed annually.
Dayora Plus is an optional upgrade on top of the free core. Nothing listed above has moved behind it. See pricing for what it costs and what it adds.
