How to cancel a Rosebud subscription on web, iPhone or Android
Find the provider that bills you, follow the right cancellation steps, and keep your journal. Start with the name on your receipt.
Who charged you?
This is an independent guide. Dayora cannot access, cancel or refund your Rosebud subscription.
This guide concerns the Rosebud journaling app at rosebud.app. Dayora publishes it independently and is not affiliated with Rosebud.
Find where you subscribed
| Who billed you | Where to manage the plan |
|---|---|
| Rosebud web purchase | Rosebud's Subscription page |
| Apple receipt | Subscriptions in your Apple account |
| Google Play receipt | Subscriptions for the purchasing Google account |
Check the most recent receipt and the subscription list for the account you used to buy Rosebud. A subscription bought on the web can be used on a phone, so the device you journal on does not necessarily identify who bills you.
The announced retirement of a free plan and the renewal of an existing paid subscription are different matters. If you have never started a paid plan or a trial with renewal terms, do not assume that an active paid subscription exists. Verify your own account.
Cancel a Rosebud web subscription
Rosebud's billing guide directs web subscribers to their Subscription page and the Cancel plan action. Complete the confirmation steps and keep a record of the result and the date shown. If you cannot find the plan, use Rosebud's billing support.
Cancel through Apple on iPhone or iPad
Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Select Rosebud and use the cancellation action if it is available. Apple's current guide explains how to check the purchasing account if the subscription is missing or already cancelled.
Use the Apple account shown on the receipt. Signing into Rosebud with an email address is not the same as selecting the Apple account that paid for it.
Cancel through Google Play on Android
Open Google Play with the account used to purchase the subscription. Open Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, select Rosebud and follow the cancellation steps. Google's help page includes the current app and web routes.
If you cannot see Rosebud, check other Google accounts and the original receipt. Uninstalling the app is not a substitute for confirming cancellation.
Your old writing can stay with you.
Keep the original export and check that it opens before making an account change. The free local reader helps you inspect Markdown and text files while you decide what comes next.
Open the export guide and local reader- Export from Rosebud
Keep the original Markdown files.
- Open and check
Read a few entries in the local reader.
- Keep your own copy
Store the original archive somewhere you control.
Keep your writing and check the confirmation
Save the cancellation confirmation and check the displayed end or renewal date. Rosebud's billing guide says paid features remain until the current paid period ends after cancellation. Refund eligibility is a separate question handled under the relevant provider's policy.
Export your writing before any permanent account deletion. Rosebud describes deletion as irreversible and directs people with an active subscription to cancel it first. You do not need to delete your journal simply to compare another app.
Questions and answers
Does deleting the Rosebud app cancel my subscription?
No. Rosebud's billing guidance says uninstalling the mobile app does not cancel a subscription. Manage the plan through Rosebud, Apple or Google Play, depending on who billed you.
Can Dayora cancel Rosebud for me?
No. Dayora has no access to your Rosebud account or billing provider. Follow the provider's cancellation route and check its confirmation.
Will cancelling Rosebud delete my journal?
Cancellation and account deletion are different actions. Export your writing and consult Rosebud's current account guidance before deleting an account. Do not treat the free-plan retirement as a journal-deletion announcement.
Will Rosebud refund my subscription automatically?
Do not assume so. Cancellation stops a renewal according to the plan's terms; refunds are a separate request under the billing provider's policy. Use Rosebud's billing help or the store that charged you.
Can I try Dayora before cancelling Rosebud?
Yes. You can try Dayora's free core and keep your existing journal while deciding. Creating a Dayora account does not change an existing Rosebud subscription.
