From a voice note to an entry
Open Dayora’s journal composer and use the microphone. When you finish recording, Dayora transcribes the audio and processes the saved entry. Review the transcript and correct words it got wrong.
Speak a short thought or a longer reflection. Transcription detects the language you speak automatically.

Voice transcription or a live call?
Choose a voice note when you want to speak without being interrupted and keep a written record. Choose Call Dayora when you want a back-and-forth spoken conversation.
Transcription is free. Calls use Plus credits and currently speak English. They are different tools, with different limits.
What to say when a blank page feels hard
Try one sentence about the moment: what happened, what surprised you, or what you want to remember. Pause and continue when you need to. There is no requirement to sound polished.
Check the transcript before relying on a name, number or important detail. Speech recognition can mishear you.
Where the recording goes
Voice content is sent to OpenAI for transcription. Dayora retains the audio as well as the transcript, and its team can access recordings for support, safety and quality checks. Voice notes can be played back from their entry.
Dayora’s data-sharing arrangement may allow OpenAI to use submitted content for training. Review the security and privacy pages before recording.
Questions and answers
Is voice-to-text journaling free?
Yes. Recorded voice entries and transcription are included in Dayora’s free core.
Does it work in languages other than English?
Voice transcription detects the language automatically. Written reflections follow the language of your entry. Live spoken calls currently use English.
Is my recording deleted after transcription?
No. Dayora keeps the audio as well as the transcript. The privacy and security pages explain access and deletion.
