Import selected Rosebud writing with the date you choose
Keep your original export, then bring selected entries into Dayora through a guided review. Choose your own words and confirm each entry’s date before saving it to Journey.

Keep a copy of your Rosebud export
Use Rosebud’s export option in Settings, or export one entry from its menu. Rosebud documents Markdown export. If you receive a ZIP, extract it first and keep the original.
You can inspect the files in a text editor or in Dayora’s account-free local reader.

Review one entry at a time
In Dayora, open Import from ChatGPT in Profile, then choose Import selected Rosebud writing. Open a Markdown or text file, select your own writing and copy it into the entry box. You can also paste text.
Leave out AI responses, prompts and other people’s words. If a file contains several entries, select one entry at a time. No software guesses where your words end and an AI reply begins.
Choose the original date and save
Choose the date you wrote the entry and confirm that the text is yours. Dayora files it on that day in your account timezone. It records the import time separately.
The original time of day, photos, audio and Rosebud’s AI replies are not preserved. Repeating the same text on the same date skips the duplicate. Imported entries do not receive automatic reflections.
What is sent to Dayora
Opening the file reads it on your device. Only the text and date you choose are sent when you press Import this entry. The rest of the file stays out of the import request.
Once saved, the entry is part of your Dayora journal. Journal AI features can process it under Dayora’s data policy, including the OpenAI data-sharing agreement that may allow training. Keep your original export as your complete backup.
Questions and answers
Can Dayora import my whole Rosebud ZIP automatically?
No. Extract the archive first. This flow imports selected writing one entry at a time after you choose the text and confirm its date.
Will an AI reply be mistaken for my entry?
The importer does not automatically classify authors. You select your own writing and confirm it before saving. Leave prompts and AI replies out of the entry box.
Are the original dates preserved?
You choose each entry’s original calendar date. Dayora files it on that day in your account timezone; it does not recover an original timestamp automatically.
Is import free?
Yes. Guided Rosebud text import is available in the free core. Your original export remains the complete backup.
