Who can read your entries

You can.

A few people on Dayora's small team can, through admin tools that record each time they open someone's journal. They look only for support, for your safety, and to check the quality of Dayora's replies.

The same people can also see entries in working copies of the database that they use to build and fix Dayora.

Nobody else who uses Dayora can see them, unless you choose to send or share something yourself. There is no public profile and no feed.

Which AI companies see what

OpenAI writes everything Dayora says back to you. It receives what you write and say for replies to your entries, Reflect, calls, turning voice notes into text, the people in your Circle, summaries, reports and the words in Dayora's emails.

OpenAI also sees the photos you add: your selfie, to check it and paint your portrait and your season card, and photos on entries, to understand them.

TypeSafe AI may receive the text of entries and Reflect messages, and Dayora's replies, to check how well Dayora sorts and tags them. It writes nothing you see, it does not train on what it receives, and it never gets recordings or photos.

Google's Gemini only ever receives your selfie, and only as a fallback when OpenAI cannot paint your portrait.

No other AI company receives your writing.

Does your writing train AI?

It can. OpenAI may use what Dayora sends it to train and improve its models. That is part of a data-sharing programme that gives Dayora free usage, and it helps keep the core of Dayora free.

Dayora does not train a model of its own.

Other services Dayora uses

Vercel hosts Dayora and stores your photos and call recordings. It also counts page visits, without cookies.

Prisma runs the database that holds your account and your journal.

Resend sends Dayora's emails. Some of them quote a line you wrote, and Resend tells Dayora when an email is opened or a link in it is clicked.

Sentry collects error reports. It may also record a replay of part of a visit, most often when something breaks, with the text on screen hidden.

OpenPanel counts which parts of the app get used. It knows your account, email address and first name, never what you write.

Google Analytics and Google Ads run only on Dayora's public website, and only store cookies if you accept them.

Stripe handles payments on the web, and Apple handles them in the iPhone app. Dayora never sees your card number.

If you sign in with Google or Apple, they confirm who you are.

Open-Meteo provides the weather, using the location of your city rather than your exact place.

Every connection to Dayora uses HTTPS.

Ads and selling

There are no ads in the app. Dayora advertises itself on Google, but nothing inside the app shows you ads.

Your entries are never sold, to advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.

When you delete your account

You can delete your account at any time in Profile, then Account & data. It happens straight away and cannot be undone.

It deletes your account, every entry, mood and conversation, your voice notes and call recordings, your photos and portraits, and the text of every request Dayora sent to AI about you.

Before it goes, Dayora asks why you are leaving. The reasons you give are sent to the Dayora team, with your name.

A few records stay, without your words: a note that emails were sent to your address, security records of sign-in attempts, and the count and cost of AI requests.

Deleting cannot reach copies that have already left Dayora: emails in your inbox, what OpenAI or TypeSafe AI keep under their own rules, and working copies of the database on the team's computers.

If you only remove your photo in Profile, the file is kept for safety review until you delete your account.

Some older photos on entries were stored in a way that does not show whose they are. Deleting your account takes them out of your journal, but their files can stay in storage until you ask us to remove them at human@dayora.ai.

Taking your journal with you

You can download everything at any time from Profile, then Account & data: the full archive as JSON, or your entries as a PDF or a Word document.
